NEWS: I.B. Your Paralegal is supporting TRITON MUSIC at Nationals
Our Nantyr Shores students (Triton Music) had astonishing accomplishments:
A regular, non-art school was able to partake in OBA's (Ontario Band Association) Provincial Festival in Scarborough on Feb 13th: this was a first in the history of the Town of Innisfil. Thanks to the endless enthusiasm and hard work of our teenagers as well as the amazing commitment and true talent and dedication of their teacher Mr. Daniel Vaz they received 1x Gold Rating and 1x Silver Rating. They received the Rising Star Award, Spirit of the Festival Award (2023).
Triton Music continues to receive Gold ratings at Sunshine City Festival in Orillia and at Nationals in Niagara Falls (Musicfest 2023).
Now, the students are heading to the Nationals at Toronto (University of Toronto) in May 2024

WHO IS A PARALEGAL?
In Ontario, a paralegal is an independent, licensed legal professional, regulated by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO). This means that in Ontario, the paralegal is not just a legal assistant who helps lawyers, as in many jurisdictions, but an individual authorized to independently provide some types of legal services. This means that a paralegal can represent clients in:

Provincial Offences Court (court that handles traffic tickets and other provincial offences)
The Landlord and Tenant Board, (which handles tenant evictions)
Administrative tribunals (which handle things like disability appeals)
Many matters heard before the Ontario Court of Justice (which handles criminal charges)
A paralegal is also a Commissioner of Oaths by virtue of their office. This means that any paralegal has the power to commission any affidavit.
